Isle of Skye
The Isle of Skye, located off the northwest coast of Scotland, is the largest and most famous of the Inner Hebrides. Known for its rugged landscapes, dramatic cliffs, and picturesque villages, Skye is a major destination for nature enthusiasts. The island is home to the Cuillin mountain range, the Old Man of Storr, and the Quiraing, all popular with hikers and photographers.
Skye’s history is reflected in its ancient castles, such as Dunvegan Castle, and its connections to Scottish clans. The island’s Gaelic heritage remains strong, with many residents speaking the language, and traditional music playing a central role in local culture.
