Marrakesh

Marrakesh, located in western Morocco, is one of the country’s most important cities and a major center of culture and commerce.

Known as the “Red City” for the color of its walls and buildings, Marrakesh is famous for its historic medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The medina is home to the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square, souks (markets), and landmarks such as the Koutoubia Mosque and the Saadian Tombs. The city’s palaces, gardens, and riads reflect its rich history and architectural heritage.

Marrakesh is also a gateway to the Atlas Mountains (pictured below) and the Sahara Desert, making it a popular destination for travelers seeking both urban and natural experiences.
