Dublin

Dublin, the capital and largest city of Ireland, is a historical and cultural center located on the east coast at the mouth of the River Liffey. The city is known for its Georgian architecture, with notable examples including the rows of townhouses around Merrion Square and the famous doors of Dublin. Dublin Castle and St. Patrick’s Cathedral are key landmarks that reflect the city’s medieval past. Trinity College Dublin, founded in 1592, is home to the Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript that is one of Ireland’s greatest cultural treasures.

Dublin is also recognized for its literary heritage, having been the birthplace of writers such as James Joyce, W.B. Yeats, and Samuel Beckett. The city is a major economic hub, hosting the headquarters of numerous multinational companies, particularly in the tech industry.
