Budapest
Budapest, the capital city of Hungary, is divided by the Danube River into two distinct areas: Buda and Pest. Buda, located on the western bank, is characterized by its hilly terrain and is home to significant landmarks such as Buda Castle and the Fisherman’s Bastion. Pest, on the eastern side, is the commercial and political hub of the city, housing the Hungarian Parliament Building, the largest in the country.
The city is renowned for its thermal baths, with over a hundred hot springs feeding historic baths such as Széchenyi and Gellért. Budapest’s architecture reflects various styles, including Gothic, Baroque, and Art Nouveau, showcasing the city’s long history and cultural influences.
